You wake up fresh and early as you hear the sound of ringing bells. You know exactly what this means; Professor Elm is in your hometown. Professor Elm has come today to give out each new starting trainer their pokemon licence and their chosen pokemon they wished to start with on their journey. You become very excited, and trip over as you put your socks on. Not letting the pain get to you, you quickly grab breakfast as you hurry out of the door.
As you walk outside, you notice how wonderful it is today, the Sun is shining and the the skies are clear. You breathe in the fresh air as you stroll to the tent nearby your house. You see many new faces as you queue up to receive your pokemon.
Professor: "Ah, hello there Chris, glad to see you here. How have you been?"
You: "I have been well thanks, I am really excited to see my pokemon, Professor Elm!!
Professor: "Indeed you are. Here it is, take good care of it. Oh here, you need your pokedex too."
You: "Oh yeah, that acts as my pokemon licence too, doesn't it?"
He hands you your pokemon and your pokedex. You thank him as you leave the tent, marvelling at your new pokemon. Finally you can begin your journey. As you walk, awe-struck by recieving your pokemon, you are approached by another trainer.
Rival: "Hi, I'm Charlotte, Do you want to battle?"
You: "Yeah sure, oh and I'm Chris."
Rival: "Go, Voltorb!!"
You: "Go!! Eevee!!"

OOC: Nah, many Lv.5 pokemon start with normal attacks like Scratch or Tackle, so it wouldn't really matter. Oh and uhh, make sure you add speech marks when there is dialogue, so I don't get confused  _____ Eevee leaps into action and performs a Tail Whip, but gets tackled by the rolling ball. As Eevee gets up, Voltorb tries again, but Eevee outpowers it with her own Tackle. Voltorb looks worse off than Eevee, but is still raring to fight. _____ OOC: Is Eevee male? If so add it's gender in your main profile. Hehe, I forgot to mention a gender heading, my bad. |

Eevee waited for her chance. As Charlotte ordered another Tackle attack, Eevee crouched low. Voltorb rushed quickly towards Eevee, but she simply launched above the rolling ball. Eevee somersaulted to face Voltorb, who was on his way for another go at tackling, but Eevee used all of her contracted muscle power from landing to propel herself into Voltorb for another hard Tackle.
OOC: Shame I'm not an pokemon RPG updater in GW. Well, at least I update you in here.

Eevee Wags it's tail cutely, but Voltorb has already begun to roll forward towards Eevee, so it doesn't see the Tail Whip. Eevee jumps, but is clipped on the paw by the Tackle attack, taking her off-balance and causing her to land awkwardly. Voltorb followed up with this by Tackling again. Ouch!!

Eevee Tackles into Voltorb, who tackles back hard. Both pokemon are starting to look tired.

Eevee hears your commands, and acts in a different way to what you thought. Voltorb goes in for another Tackle, but Eevee jumps over the electric pokemon. Enraged, Voltorb rushes at Eevee again, but Eevee jumps above it once more. This continues for a few moments until Voltorb is completely worn out. Eevee uses Tail Whip in Voltorb's face, then turns around quickly to deal the final hit. Eevee's Tackle attack pounds Voltorb into a nearby bush.
Level up for Eevee!!
Charlotte: "Woww, that was a great battle Chris..."
She begins to blush. Suddenly, Professor Elm walks over.
Elm: "So, how did he fair?"
Charlotte: "He did very well, Professor, he has good skill. However, I still think he needs to work on his tactics."
Elm: "He is new, you can't expect him to be top notch yet!! Anyways Chris, good job. Here, take this.."
You receive a PokeGear!!
Elm: "That will let you hold numbers of trainers you will face."

OOC: Place that item under a big, bold heading of "PokeNav". Add Charlotte underneath in normal text. I have an idea you'll like for when I make a Pokedex.

OOC: Um Dan, I believe in Pokemon Gold/Silver they had the PokeGear and not the PokeNav. Ok, will do.

OOC: I know that, but oh well, in GSC it was PokeGear, but in RSE it was PokeNav, nevermind. I changed mine also to fit in with it. _____ You call back Eevee and wave goodbye to Elm and Charlotte. You are not sure on how to start your journey, you have many options. There are many tents around Cherrygrove, new pokemon trainers are battling in them, so you may want to join in. There are two roads; New Bark Town in the east, and Violet City in the north. What do you decide to do? _____ OOC: Hmm, you seem to fully understand what you can and can't do in this RPG. Makes my work easier  ... Maybe one day you'll join me in this role. |
