You wake up fresh and early as you hear the sound of ringing bells. You know exactly what this means; Professor Oak is in your hometown. Professor Oak Has come today to give out each new starting trainer their pokemon licence and their chosen pokemon they wished to start with on their journey. You become very excited, and trip over as you put your socks on. Not letting the pain get to you, you quickly grab breakfast as you hurry out of the door.
As you walk outside, you notice how wonderful it is today, the Sun is shining and the the skies are clear. You breathe in the fresh air as you stroll to the tent nearby your house. You see many new faces as you queue up to receive your pokemon.
Professor: "Ah, hello there Cody, glad to see you here. How have you been?"
You: "I have been well thanks, I am really excited to see my pokemon, Professor Oak!!
Professor: "Indeed you are. Here it is, take good care of it. Oh here, you need your pokedex too."
You: "Oh yeah, that acts as my pokemon licence too, doesn't it?"
He hands you your pokemon and your pokedex. You thank him as you leave the tent, marvelling at your new pokemon. Finally you can begin your journey. As you walk, awe-struck by recieving your pokemon, you are approached by another trainer.
Rival: "Hi, I'm Andros. Do you want to battle?"
You: "Yeah sure, oh and I'm Cody."
Rival: "Go, Diglett!!"
You: "Go!! Charmander!!"

Before Charmander could Growl at Diglett, it disappears from view. A moment later it comes up from the ground and scratches Charmander. Charmander responds by giving the ground pokemon a powerful scratch.

Charmander growls, this time it works. Diglett dives under the ground again, but as soon as it pops up, Charmander has the bases covered and scratches the unsuspecting Diglett in the face. Diglett fights back, throwing sand up at Charmander's body and growling at her. The sand barely misses Charmander's eyes. As the dust clears, the mole can not be seen anywhere.

Charmander looks around, but still can't find it. Suddenly, it pops up behind Charmander and scratches it. Before Charmander can turn around and hit is, its gone again. It comes up behind Charmander again and scratches, then hides under the ground again.

OOC: "OOC" means out of character, or out of context. Just makes it easier for me to see what is part of the RP, and what is not.

Diglett jumps up behind Charmander as expected, and Charmander pounds it's claws into the little mole pokemon. It Growls, but takes another scratch from Charmander. It is almost out of energy, it just needs one final attack to finish it off.

Charmander lands a tough attack onto the Diglett and KO's it nicely.
Andros: "Hmph, lucky punk!!"
Andros walks off in a huff after being beaten soundly. What do you wish to do now?

OOC: wait i thought that u get a rare candy after beating your rival i saw that ross did. Also isn't Charmander to grow a level?

OOC: You don't neccessarily get an item all the time after a battle. Oh and add a level to Charmander, sorry I forgot to mention the level-up.

You go into Route 1, and you look around, you find patches of grass and pokemon running through it. A peaceful blue sky relaxes you as you look into the horizon. What would you like to do in Route 1?
