This is not part of the GameWinners version, but I thought it would help. This thread is for improving on your RPing skills within this profile-style RP format. From what I have seen in my 9-10 months (not all that long really, but long enough) experience in RPing in group RP and in profile based RP, there are very bad habits that come from profile-based RP. To get people out of these habits I made this. If you feel you need help with your profile, and what to ask questions regarding on how to go about battling or journeying; here is the place to come. You can put me into a scenario and ask me what I would do, if it helps you gain a better understanding of how to approach a problem. As long as the scenario is not directly related to your profile, then I'll answer. Don't try to think you'll get away with it, because you won't .

Well, the thing about the early stages is that indeed you only have one or two moves, so it is easy to fall into the repetitive motions of using Tackle and/or another move repeatedly.
If you fall into that trap, try to be a little creative. It sounds hard, and it is usually harder to do, but when in that situation you put yourself in your character's shoes (you should be doing that anyway if you are a RPer, that's the basics). Here are some questions to ask yourself:
What do my surroundings look like, and how can I use that to my advantage? How can I change the way I attack? What has my opponent's strategy been? What attacks can I work with, and how will that help me win?
Anyone want to give me an example that is unrelated to their own profile? It might help you with ideas...

Basically, you know of the surrounding of the route you are on, from playing the pokemon games.
