After a minute or two, the red glowing light in the centre of the pokeball stops, and the ball stops shaking...
Caught Rattata!! Level 5, Male, Run Away.
What would you like to do next?

OOC: When you catch a pokemon you will get the relevant info of Level, gender, ability. The moves are up to you, but no egg, move tutor or TM moves in it moveset please.

You look around and set eyes upon a trainer with a pokemon at his side. The pokemon is a Turwig.
You: "Hi i'm Ross, would you mind having a battle with me?"
Leo: "Sure thing. I'm Leo by the way."
Leo looks to his Turtwig and smiles. The Turtwig looks up at his trainer and lets out a cry. Leo nods and looks back at you.
Leo: "Shrub wants to battle you. He can pick up the scent of a grass type on your clothes and wishes to battle it."

OOC: In other words, you'll have to use Bulbasaur. You know the battling drill by now...

Bulbasaur leaps from it's pokeball and cries cutely. He then goes to charge into battle, but with no commands given, stops dead in his tracks. Leo begins to laugh, "You call out your pokemon and do not announce an attack? Do you always do that?". Turtwig begins to laugh at you, when suddenly it gets bowled over by your Bulbasaur, who Tackles Leo to the ground. He seems to be rather annoyed that Leo laughed and is now ready to fight hard.
"you little brat!!" Leo scorns, "Shrub!! Get in there and show his Bulbasaur what a real battle is like!!". Turtwig jumps onto its feet and takes position infront of Leo. Bulbasaur then turns, looking to you for a command.

OOC: OMG you forgot to announce an attack!! Come on Ross, it should be one of the first things you do in a battle. You should know that by now. Anyway, never mind that now, just remember that for your next battle. Okay?

"Shrub, use Tackle!!" Leo yells, and his Turtwig bounds upto Bulbasaur and delivers a tough hit. Bulbasaur shakes himself off and growls intimidatingly at Turtwig, then rushed in and slams Turtwig.

As Bulbasaur growls, Leo comes up with a smart move. "Shrub, use Withdraw. Your shell should drown out the sound. Then hit with a Tackle." Leo roared commandingly, his voice brimming with confidence. Turtwig responded quickly and withdrew into his shell as Bulbasaur began to growl to no avail. Bulbasaur took his chance to Tackle Turtwig, but the shell blocked the attack well. Turtwig then unveils and rushes towards Bulbasaur, tackling him to the floor with its bulky head.

"How boring!!" Laughs Leo, he has begun to pick up on your quite obvious strategy and is now beginning to wise up to you. "Okay Shrub, time to break through this. You go head on with Bulbasaur in a Tackle... GO!!". Turtwig rushes quickly at Bulbasaur, leaving it with no time to growl and Tackle. Seeing it can go one-on-one with the turtle, he charges forth also. Both hit each other with good force, but are now locked in a pushing match.

OOC: At the moment, you are using the same tactic over and over, and now it has gotten so repetitive that the opponent is now taking the game to you. I will make a thread in here to help people with their RPing skills. I would recommend you and everyone else come to it.

"Now Shrub, Withdraw again!!" Leo commanded. Bulbasaur growled, but instead of rushing towards Turtwig, Bulbasaur dived straight into the bushes beside you. Leo looked bewildered, and wasn't sure of what to do. Turwig draws out from his shell and looks around frantically, as does Leo. At the same moment you laugh, Bulbasaur comes charging out of the bushes on the left hand side of the tiny turtle, and bundles it into the bushes. "Shrub!! No!!" Leo panically yells. Turwig emerges from the bushes, staggering towards Bulbasaur with pain and anger pulsing through every vein. Without warning, it pummels Bulbasaur into the ground, but it is not strong enough to keep Bulbasaur pinned for long.
Finish it!!
