You wake up fresh and early as you hear the sound of ringing bells. You know exactly what this means; Professor Oak is in your hometown. Professor Oak has come today to give out each new starting trainer their pokemon licence and their chosen pokemon they wished to start with on their journey. You become very excited, and trip over as you put your socks on. Not letting the pain get to you, you quickly grab breakfast as you hurry out of the door.

As you walk outside, you notice how wonderful it is today, the Sun is shining and the the skies are clear. You breathe in the fresh air as you stroll to the tent nearby your house. You see many new faces as you queue up to receive your pokemon.

Professor: "Ah, hello there Jake, glad to see you here. How have you been?"

You: "I have been well thanks, I am really excited to see my pokemon, Professor Oak!!

Professor: "Indeed you are. Here it is, take good care of it. Oh here, you need your pokedex too."

You: "Oh yeah, that acts as my pokemon licence too, doesn't it?"

He hands you your pokemon and your pokedex. You thank him as you leave the tent, marvelling at your new pokemon. Finally you can begin your journey. As you walk, awe-struck by recieving your pokemon, you are approached by another trainer.

Rival: "Hi, I'm Kyle. Do you want to battle?"

You: "Yeah sure, oh and I'm Jake."

Rival: "Go, Shuppet!!"

You: "Go!! Charmander!!"

OOC: I'm familiar with RPing, but I suck at it, so I usually just do a short paragraph at most. How's this:

IC: "Charmander, use Scratch!" ordered Jake. Charmander ran up to the Shuppet and attempted to attack, but nothing happened. "(Huh? Why won't it work?!)" Jake thought. "(Oh no, Shuppet's a ghost type, and normal moves won't work!)" "Charmander, just keep dodging and using Growl!"

[Panthrus]

OOC: All fabulous apart from where you RPed the attack. In this RP, as much as it sucks, you can't do that. Now you can go as far as "Charmander nods and readies himself", but no further than that. Overall, a great first go!!

Charmander tries to dodge the Shuppet, who lets off an ear piercing screech. Charmander stops and clutches onto his head in pain. The sound was deafening, and allowed the ghost pokemon to use Knock Off before Charmander could regain focus on the battle. Your pokemon falls to the uneven grass, sliding to a stop. As you uncover your own ears and look at Charmander, you notice a TM. You walk over to examine it. It is TM Fire Spin.

OOC: That item is not an offical TM on the games, but here, any move can be a TM, unless it is an exclusive Move Tutor attack. Also it helps you fight Shuppet, since I made it hard for your pokemon to fight. Also, You are allowed to RP your character giving an item such as a TM to a pokemon during a battle.

OOC: So why didn't you just start the battle if I wasn't supposed to do that? ;D

IC: "(hmm, seems to be fire spin. That should help!)" Jake thought, bending down to hand the TM to Charmander. Charmander learned Fire Spin.

OOC: How's that?

[Panthrus]

OOC: I didn't start the battle because you need to announce an attack, something you have control over, and something I am not permitted to do for you. You didn't announce an attack just then, so I'll assume you meant to use Fire Spin. Make sure you announce attacks next time please.

Charmander engulfs the Shuppet in a tornado of fire. It is trapped in the seering heat for quite some time until it finally fizzles out. Shuppet attacks Charmander again with Knock Off once again, leaving him bundling into the dirt again. Charmander gets up and growls deeply at Shuppet, who flutters around his trainer.

[Flame]

"Charmander, use Fire Spin again!"

[Panthrus]

This time, Charmander uses a much hotter flame than last time, which surounds shuppet and traps it for much longer. When the tornado disappears, Shuppet appears with scorch marks all over it's body. It tries to use Knock Off but Charmander jumps out of the way. It seems that Shuppet's injuries are starting to affect it's battling.

FINISH IT!!

[Flame]

"Charmander, finish it off with another Fire Spin!"

Shuppet floats in and out of view, and hits Charmander with a headbutt. However, Charmander wraps the poor Shuppet in a raging tornado of fire, which burns the helpless ghost. After the fire ceased, Shuppet laid motionless on the ground.

SHUPPET DEFEATED, LEVEL UP X1 FOR CHARMANDER!!!

In recognition of your victory, Kyle gives you PS100. He says his goodbyes and leaves town. What do you do now?

What are my choices? I guess I'll level up Charmander some more.
