Lorlethaan: Legend of Creation In the beginning, there was nothing but a pocket of void and a being known as The Balance. It was amazingly powerful, but without a world, there was no balance; after all, there was nothing to compare to, to balance himself with. The Balance craved such an existence and because of this, he created a vast amount of land from his flesh and equally large amounts of sea from his blood. Giving the world a piece of his existence, it became habitable, and from it sprung two children; a decaying son named Death and a flourishing daughter named Life. The Balance named his created world Lorlethaan, which meant "The center of all".
Lorlethaan: Conflict Between the Prime Powers
The Balance's original intention was to create Life and Death so that it could govern the two powers and keep them in balance. However, upon the dawning of this new world, Death and Life were in immediate conflict. Death governed over negative energies, as well as the ending of all forms of life. He believed that between him and his sister, he was the stronger, more important; after all, he could bring worldwide destruction to people at the blink of an eye.
Life, on the other hand, governed over positive energies as well as bringing consciousness to any and the spark of life to any being. She believed that surely she was superior, since she could give life to anything, and ultimately undo anything that Death had done.
The two of them would be in constant be in constant conflict, bringing creatures on Lorlethaan to life then kill them; it created utter chaos within Lorlethaan. The Balance watched as his children swept across the world and tore its inhabitants apart. The world that he bled for being crushed was not something he could simply tolerate, so every time the damage would become too extensive, he would neutralize everything they had done. Centuries passed with this continuous loop of destruction and rebirth, and the Prime Powers, as they will be now known, were still in full force. The future for beings on Lorlethaan looked dim; without cultures developing, knowledge of their lives wasn't being recorded. The Balance wished to end the conflict and offered his spawn a proposition; a contract that stated every five hundred years the three of them would choose a mortal to represent them as an emissary. This emissary would gather forces and wage war against the other two emissaries. The Prime Power emissary who wins in one of these wars governs over Lorlethaan until the next war; Life would govern over a flourishing world, Death a decaying one, and The Balance one that is completely in balance. Both Death and Life, confident that they would succeed every time, agreed quickly, and so they swore the pact of the Prime Powers. Civilizations finally began to erect themselves and flourished, beginning the Age of Knowledge.
After this, during an era known as the years of Darkness, an entity known as chaos emerged and began to grow, feeding off of the wars that broke out every five hundred years. It has now begun to rival in strength of the Prime Powers and therefore decided that he must partake in their game of humanoid chess pieces, their contest to see who deserves to rule the planet. The emissary of Chaos is a human by the name of Duran- an evil man who governs the country of Duraliath from behind the curtain of the king. He has enslaved the entire surrounding population of Elves (although it isn't known by many, he is draining the magic that is in their blood)
Alright, I know that was a lot of information, but right now, this is all absolutely necessary; its kind of needed. There’s more, but the following information has to do with your character.
Name:
Race: Human, Elves (different races), Dwarf (different families), Lizardmen (Goldscales=sages, Flame claws=Sneaky hunters, Blacktongues=brutish hulks), Lycanthropes (For those who are unaware of that word, its the term for werecreatures; werewolves, weretigers, wereravens, ect), Vampires (This would make for very very boring game play) Gezhak (Snake men), Teleadool (A race of humanoids with runes all over their body-this race is limited to the first two people to want to be them because of their self iscolation)
Specialty: (Choose a max of two) Close quarters combat, Magic, Espionage/assassination, Thievery, Ranged Combat, strength of faith, Hand to hand, rune channeling (Teleadools specialty, other races are prohibited)
Appearance:
Personality:
History: Just so you know, I'd really prefer some interesting storyline: I know this is sort of a foreign world, but please try to keep away from one line histories.
Weapon of choice:
Special Qualities: Magic, extra sensitive senses, Teleadools runes. (Try to keep a cap of about three or so things in this category to begin, then work on it from there)
Chosen Prime Power: Life, Death, The Balance, or Chaos: Work for one of these powers armies to win the war. You might not work for the army directly; it might just be a state of mind- you might be a goody two shoes, and henceforth be "working", so to speak, for Life
