Hey Add Mint here!
So TGP Weekly is going to become, well obviously, a weekly paper now. It will be released every friday. And since it's friday, well yea!
Okay well to tell you the truth, the newspaper really needs some help from ya'll out there so it would be great to have you on the TGP Weekly staff.
We also need some new idea's for the newspaper name because obviously, it's kind of...lame. lol no offense RJ.
So anyways...

So, RJ and I have been discussing the issue of Member of the Week. Tell us what you think. Should we have member of the week? And if we do...what will be their reward?
So RJ and I have decided to include a member made fanfic every week. This week we have the prolouge to one of my fanfics. It's called 'Finding Home'. Since we haven't been public with the fanfic idea we haven't had any entry's.
Prolouge
I am 18. I really couldn't decide if I wanted to move out. I'd already decided I was not going to college. I wanted to start my own buisness. The only problem...money. Ididn't have enough money to start it. I sat at home in my sunroom, going through my mother's collection of dusty magazines. The summer sun shone brightly on my face as I lifted one. Life of a Farmer. It's title was. How Lame. I thought. I put it back into the pile. My mother had always wanted to live on a farm, stroking the smooth back of her horse after it had won a horse race or finding gold and silver in caves and mines.
Suddenly as I began to think of the pros and cons of living on a farm, the phone rang. I picked it up. "Hello?" I said into it.
"Asha?" It was my mother. The last person I felt like talking to right now.
"Yeah." Ivsaid. Thinking to myself I thought, who else would be home?
"I was just reading the newspaper. They have an offer in here about the farm i was telling you about. They lowered the price on it!"
"Ugh, Mom we already discussed this remember?" I say disgusted into the phone.
"But honey, this would be such a wonderful opportunity. I mean, I know I haven't been there for you alot because of my job, but sweetie, this would be great for getting a reputation and earning money for your buisness. You can't start a buisness without friends and loyal contacts." Yeah this is basically the advice you would expect to get from a mother who is a buisnesswoman and travels all over the world. But still, this caught my attention...my mother did have a point here.
"Go on..." I say.
"Well I was thinking. This Mineral Town place. You could start a buisness there along with your farm. Imagine it, sweetie. The smell of apple blossoms. The sweet taste of honey suckles...." Ok she got me there. I absolutely love honey suckles.
"Mom, I think i'll give it a try. But if it doesn't work out. You can't force me to stay there."
"Deal." My mom said happily. "Oh Asha I'm so proud of you, trying new things is so fun! I'll be home and 3 to help you pack ok sweetie? See you later....Love you!" She hung up.
I set the phone down on the table. Then I sit down, running my fingers through my hair. What have I got myself into? I look down at the Life as a Farmer magazine again. I might as well start to study now...I thought to myself.
My mother came at 3 just as she said she would, happy as can be. We got my stuff packed in no time and I felt a little hurt my mother seemed so eager to get me out of the house. Then I remembered she was only happy because I was going to live out her dream. When all my stuff was packed, we called the agency. They told me I could come ASAP. My mom got me a ticket for the train heading to Mineral Town. I had all of my stuff with me when we got on the train. I wonder if anyone knows i'm moving? I thought sarcastically.
A couple of stiff hours later I'm standing in front of this old farm. The house is tiny and cobwebs practically encase it. The barn is in the same condition. The crop soil is dry and cracked. The path that led to my house from the town looked as used as the house and there was no life (nor honey suckles) to be seen anywhere.
Sure there were trees, they were actually beautiful and I had a wonderful view of the setting sun. Which happened to be setting right at this moment.
My mom is going to pay. I thought. But I had promised her I'd try it. There is no turning back now...
RJ here: A few ideas have come through and im going to make it a thread and we would love feedback from you!!
